Puymirol, first bastide of Agen
This house was founded in 1246 by Raymond VII, Count of Toulouse, was the first of its kind in Agen. It asked its walls at the base of limestone cliffs that surround it.

Etymologically, the name "Puymirol" comes from "puy" which means mountain, cape and "Mirol," which comes from "mira" or "Mirette" is to say, see.
PUYMIROL = Mount from which one sees from a distance.

THE WALKING
La Bastide, the first of its kind in Agen, raised its walls at the base of limestone cliffs that surround. 2 circuits are possible:
Circuit of 12 km: 3 hours or 2 loops
Circuit 9 kms: 1 hour 15 minutes

PUYMIROL LAKE.
At the feet of the ancient country-house, there is a magnificent lake, a privileged place of walk where you can picnic in the shade of tall trees on tables and benches, beautiful carp fishing (fishing allowed and free without a card), the children will be entertained with games available to them around the lake.
